FAQs
Why no COD?
There are multiple reasons for this:
- Cash Handling Charges - You might not be aware of this, but all Cash on Delivery orders charge a Cash Handling Charge which is always offloaded onto the customer (YOU) which slightly increases the price of the product.
- Low Priority Designation - Since Cash Handling increases logistical complexities (e.g. you might not exact change, cash carrying risk, cash amount verification by the delivery agent, cash consolidation increases administrative costs for the courier company, etc.) it is often given lower priority compared to Prepaid Orders.
- Package Refusal - This comes down to the customer, when, for various reasons (e.g. not being at home to recieve the product, or refusing to accept delivery) the parcel is unable to be delivered. Since being a one person operation, I am unable to bear the cost of a RTO (Return To Origin) on top the rejected product, I have made this conscious decision to not include it.
Which is why I implore you, to check out my instagram or youtube for the quality and the design journey, or chat with me to figure out if you want it or not.
I want you to be confident in my products and your purchase!
Whats the deal with Refunds and Replacements?
- Refunds - Since I don't have a huge inventory of dropshipped goods that I sell for a 1000% Markup because I 3D print the product once I receive the order, I simply can't afford a refund YET. It doesn't mean the option will not be available in the future depending on how well the business goes.
- Replacements - Since one of the main benefits of 3D Printing is the elimination of -inventory costs, injection moulding costs, processing line costs- I fully intend on having your back in case of broken components as long as I am in business.
In case of defective delivery, please make a complete video recording of the unboxing process as proof of broken components and upon verification a partial or complete replacement will be provided for free.
Do I need to record a video of the unboxing?
As stated in the Refunds and Replacements section, a complete unboxing video will help determine the defects in the packaging and shipping process and also provide you with a fair resolution!
Apart from that, you can also share that video online and I'd be happy to share them on my own socials too!
Why 3D Printing?
3D Printing is a fantastic technology which has allowed me to create products to the degree of precision which was financially lifetimes away for me previously. I have always held value in high quality and purpose built products with an equal empahsis on FORM & FUNCTION.
So the two main reasons for me to choose it are:
- High Quality Producs - In these times where the biggest factor in decision making is: How do we make it the cheapest way while charging a premium - Quality, Design Purpose and Innovation goes out of the window, and we are left wanting for "The good old, Robust and Aesthetic designs of days long gone". 3D printing allows for quicker and relatively cheaper innovation. I don't have any grand delusions of bringing in the next revolution of design. I just want to make good products, that serve a purpose and look good doing it.
- Nothing is Obsolete - Once I have created a product, it will never go out of stock. That's the beauty of 3D printing! Whether you want a product that was launched today, or 10 years ago, as long as the design file is safe, it can be recreated any time. Usually companies stop manufacturing certain prodcuts if the demand fall below a certain number, or they want to introduce new products which mean the old products and their spare parts become almost impossible to find. This is due to financial contraints of traditional manufacturing processes, but not with 3D Printing.
